The Elephant will be addressed

We're living in a generation where political correctness and politeness is emphasized to the degree that it's close to impossible to have serious discussions about relevant topics.  It's nearly impossible without the fear of offending someone and being labeled as a bigot.

Meaningful conversations are almost a thing of the past. The effort to not talk about the elephant in the room has left many problems in our society to persist. It's tough to address or fix issues if people are scared, incapable, or too immature to have and intellectually honest conversation about the elephant in the room. The elephant goes unchecked because people have placed the emotions and sensuality above sound reasoning.

Why Clear Elephant?

The phrase, the elephant in the room, is an English metaphorical idiom for an obvious issue that no one wants to address. These situations are usually the result of a group of people being scared to speak in contrary to what the majority of the population of individuals supports in fear of being ostracized and or persecuted in some form.

When the elephant is ignored for a long time, it becomes expected, a part of the culture, and normalized.  Post-normalization, people forget that the elephant was an issue from the beginning that needed to be dealt with. The elephant or issue becomes hardly recognizable because it has been accepted for too long.  This situation leads to even bigger problems:

First,

When trying to address the elephant, it is hard for people to even see the elephant. The elephant is clear, transparent, or invisible to them so they can't even see a problem.  It 's hard to get people on board to fix a problem if they can not even see that there is a problem.

Second,

Not addressing the elephant in the room over time people get Stockholm syndrome with the elephant. Yeah, as crazy as it may seem, people sometimes start to defend the existence of issues and problems because they have developed a relationship with them.

Single motherhood

For example look the normalization of single motherhood. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand that a child does a lot better in life when the child is raised by both their father and mother.  In fact, it has been well documented that children that are raised in a single parent home are at a disadvantage in many areas of life.   Single motherhood is so prevalent in American society it's not even seen as a problem anymore.  When this topic is advanced people often try to escape the criticism of the situation and began to defend the problem rather than find a solution.

Finally,

When the elephant is ignored for a long time in a society because it's expected the elephant is capitalized on.  As the community develops the elephant is engrafted into the community.  The elephant starts to become a necessary component to the functionality of the society. The elephant becomes a necessity.

And So It Begins

I'm writing because I know many people want a perspective that is based on honesty and truth and less of all the political nonsense.  I'll say something about the elephant!

Often we just need someone to say, hey this is the problem, and some people will say, oh yeah, I forgot that was a problem.

It's kind of like an optical illusion where an object is hidden in clear sight, and it's hard to recognize. When you find it or when someone points it out to you, it becomes hard to unsee.

With that being said, allow me to introduce myself, I am O. Nicholas V., and my generation is a huge clear elephant. I hope that you will enjoy and benefit from reading articles on this site.
